POLICY HANDLING PRACTICES

How bhutday Manages Your Legal Interests

From data retention schedules to account security practices, we handle every legal obligation with documented internal processes. Here is what each area covers and who is responsible for it at our end.

Data Handling

We collect only the data required to operate your account and process payments via UPI, Paytm and PhonePe. Data is stored on secured servers, accessed only by authorised personnel, and never sold to third parties under any circumstance.

Cookie Policy

Our platform uses session cookies for authentication and preference cookies to remember your lobby settings. You can manage or disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings at any time without losing account access.

Account Security

Every account is protected by two-factor authentication, session timeout controls, and activity monitoring. If we detect an unusual login pattern from a city like Pune or Mumbai, we flag it and may temporarily hold the session for your protection.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for the period required by applicable Indian financial and gaming regulations. Once the mandatory retention window closes and your account is closed, personal data is deleted or anonymised per our documented schedule.

Rights Requests

You may request access to the personal data we hold, ask us to correct inaccurate records, or request deletion where law permits. Submit your request through the legal email channel; we will confirm the outcome in writing within the statutory period.

Dispute Resolution

Disputes regarding account decisions or transaction outcomes are first handled by our internal review team. If you remain unsatisfied after our internal process, you may escalate to the relevant authority in your jurisdiction where local law provides that right.

Frequently Asked Legal Questions

These answers address the questions our account holders most commonly raise about their legal rights, our data practices, and how our terms apply in India. If your question is not covered here, reach us through the legal contact paths above.

Our terms apply to you where access is permitted under your local law. Eligibility depends on the regulations in your state and union territory in India, and you should confirm that accessing the platform is lawful in your specific location before opening an account.

We collect the information needed to verify your identity, manage your account, and process transactions via UPI, Paytm or PhonePe. This typically includes your name, contact details, date of birth and payment method identifiers. We do not collect data beyond what operations require.

Send a written data access request to our legal email address with your account number and a clear description of what you need. We will acknowledge within 24 hours and deliver the data or a reasoned response within the period required by applicable law.

You may request deletion of personal data where no legal or regulatory obligation requires us to keep it. Requests are reviewed case by case; data tied to transaction records required under Indian financial regulation must be retained for the mandatory period before deletion.

We notify account holders of material changes via the contact details on file before the new terms take effect. If you continue using the platform after the effective date, that constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you can close your account without penalty at any time.

Raise the dispute through our support chat or legal email channel first. Our internal review team will examine the case and issue a written outcome. If that outcome does not resolve your concern, you may escalate to the relevant authority where local law in India provides that path.

We do not store full payment credentials on our servers. Transaction references and method types are recorded for account history and regulatory compliance, but sensitive payment authentication data is handled exclusively by UPI, Paytm or PhonePe under their respective security standards.
